Alloy Loft Ladders

Why choose an aluminium alloy loft ladder

Aluminium alloy loft ladders are light, which makes them easy to operate.  They also tend to be smaller than wooden loft ladders, so take up less room both in the loft and when extended.

Aluminium ladders also tend to be cheaper than wooden ladders, and offer a good value alternative whist still being relatively durable.  They will not rust and are less likely to be affected by temperature and humidity.  They are also fire-resistant.

Other factors to consider

Aluminium loft ladders can feel quite flimsy when being climbed, and cannot stand as much weight as a wooden ladder.  They are quite noisey in operation and their industrial appearance can make them look unappealing in certain surroundings.
