Patio Awnings

patio awningYour patio can be a pretty unpleasant place to be in the scorching summer sun, and dangerous too if your bare skin is exposed to the sun's harmful UV rays for too long.  Likewise, a pleasant summer evening barbeque can be brought to an abrupt end by an unexpected shower.  An awning helps you reclaim your patio, providing cool shade from the harsh sun, or shelter from the rain.
A patio awning can be opened and closed as the weather dictates, providing shade from the hot summer sun for your patio or other part of your garden or property.  If installed above a window it will also shade the room within, helping to maintain a cooler living temperature throughout the hot summer months, and reduce the fading effects of UV rays on curtains, carpets and upholstery.

When not in use, a patio awning retracts into a discreet full- or half-cassette mounted on a wall.  To provide protection from the weather the awning's tough fabric canopy is expanded out on arms.  This can be to the full extent of the canopy or partially, providing just the right amount of protection for your needs.  A patio awning can either be manually operated using a winding handle, or can be automated, in which case it is operated effortlessly by an electric motor.

We can supply and install patio awnings and canopies in a range of materials to best suit your requirements, including corrosion-resistant, powder coated aluminium, stainless steel and easy-clean fabrics . We also offer a spares and repair service.

We supply and install a range of canopies including folding arm awnings, window canopies, exterior screens, parasols, exterior roof blinds, awning accessories.

All systems combine practical style with function and are designed, engineered and built to last. All our patio awning and canopy products are manufactured by Caribbean Quality Awnings here in the UK and are fully safety testy to ensure that all relevent safety standards are met.

The width and projection of your awning play a big part in determining how much shade it will provide so it is important to select the correct size for your requirements. We will be happy to advise during our free, no obligation site survey.

Large expanses of glass in a building can cause the interior of that building to heat up rapidly to unpleasant levels in the summer months due to the greenhouse effect. Our solar shading solutions can absorb and reflect back upto 99% of the heat contained in the sun's rays before it reaches the glass therefore preventing a room from overheating.

Climate change has led to a significant increase in harmful UV radiation - the fabrics used on our solar shading solutions are UV rated at either 40, 60 or 80. Even a low UV protection such as 40, filters out more than 95% of UV radiation and offers a minimum of 200 minutes continuous protection.

The products that we supply are built to the highest quality standards and therefore typically come with a five year "no quibble" parts warranty, covering the system itself including all joints, the fabric (excluding decorative valances) and the mechanism.

The fabric used in our systems features an easy-clean coating which shrugs off dirt whilst preventing mould, algae and fungae growth.

We can supply and install patio awnings in a range of styles and colour options to best suit your home.  A range of matching extras such as side shelters and full-length vallances can also be supplied.
